No, not at all! The group originated in Oklahoma, and the event will take place in the OKC area. To participate, all you must be willing to do is travel to Oklahoma City and crochet with 1,000 or more of your newest besties.
Yes, to be part of the record-breaking attempt, you must be able to crochet a recognizable stitch (like single or double crochet) during the timed portion.
